How I organize my client project workflow – apply this to each of your client projects to ensure consistent results every time!
- Sign Contract
Client and I sign contract via Dubsado (or whatever CMS you are using)
- Project Management
Set up project in Trello with a checklist and give access to client
- Schedule 30 or 60-minute Assessment Call (as per selected package)
Discuss client’s expectations, the project, specifications, mission and vision, color schemes, vibes, etc., as well as delivery time of the completed project
- Homework
Assign homework to client related to project, as discussed during assessment call, due 5 days before project work can begin
- Creative Brief
Create moodboard and brief (sketch, draft, etc.) and send to client for review
- Create Artwork
Design logos as per chosen package and send for review. Revisions included as per selected package
- Create Brandboard/Styleguide
Visual summary of branding as per assessment call discussion
- Store all files and design assets as PDF and JPEG in Trello
- Request Second payment in case of Payment Plan
Create invoice via Dubsado
- Create Collateral Assets
Design all other elements for branding, as per selected package and send for review. Revisions included as per selected package
- Website Front Design
If applicable as per selected package or per agreement
- Request Final Payment
Final payment due before files are released to client. Create invoice via Dubsado
- Schedule Follow-up Call with Client
Go through created artwork and assets, make final adjustments - Send a Thank You email to the client and ask for a Review and for Referral
Review of delivered work, ask for the possibility of a retainer for future work
